Cleansing Your Home With Crystals

Whether you are moving into a new home or want to cleanse the energy of your current home, crystal energy is a great way of clearing and protecting your living space. You can work with crystals to cleanse and protect any room in your house. It is particularly useful to clear and bless the room that people enter your house through as this will help to create a protective barrier around your home, keeping out unwanted negativity from anyone exerting your home. If you are moving to a new home, blessing it with crystals will help to clear any energies from the previous occupants that may be lingering.

There are many different types of crystals you can use to clear and protect your home. I have found that the combination of Selenite, Black Tourmaline, Amethyst and Quartz is unbeatable. They are fairly affordable crystals and easy to get hold of but they are a powerhouse of clearing and protective energy.

Quartz

Quartz is known as the "master healer" and can be used for just about any intention you wish. It is especially powerful for creating a protective barrier around you or you home.

Amethyst

Amethyst is a very high vibrational and protective crystal that can help to remove and prevent negative energy from entering a space, and it helps to create a peaceful and relaxed atmosphere in your home. You can also place Amethyst in your windows to help deflect negative energy.

Selenite

Selenite is an extremely high vibrational, powerful cleanser. It helps to remove negativity and stuck energy, bringing in the light, positive energy, and getting the frequencies flowing again. It is a great crystal to keep near all entrances to your home to act as an 'energetic filter', preventing any unwanted energies from entering your home.

Black Tourmaline

Black Tourmaline is an incredibly protective and clearing stone and one of the best crystals for absorbing negative energy and transforming it into positive. It is a great stone to carry around with you if you are going to be visiting a stressful environment, and a good stone to place in busy areas of your home to remove any negative or chaotic energy.

How to Use Crystals To Cleanse & Protect Your Home.

These steps are a guide but it is important to remember that there are no right to wrong ways of working with crystal energies, and if you feel drawn o using different crystals or a different method, then follow your intuition.

Step 1

Identify which room you would like to cleanse. Sometimes a room may just feel heavy, or you may sense that the energy is a bit stagnant. Alternatively just pick a room you feel would benefit most.

Step 2

Place a piece of Black Tourmaline in the room that you wish to cleanse. It doesn't have to be a big piece, a simple tumblestone will work fine. The healing energy of a crystal is not governed by its size, but rather the frequency at which it vibrates. it doesn't matter where in the room the Black Tourmaline is placed so trust your gut feeling.

Step 3

Take a piece of Selenite and begin passing it over the room. A Selenite stick is perfect for this, but again any size or shaped piece will work just fine. Start at the entrance to the room and work your way around clockwise, sweeping from top to bottom with the Selenite until you get back to where you started. Visualise that you are using the Selenite to sweep away any negative or stuck energy as if it were dust or cobwebs, cleansing the space from any negativity and filling the room with pure white light. You may also like to have a window open and sweep the old energy out of it.

Step 4

place a piece of Quartz in each corner of the room visualising a barrier of protective white light surrounding the room as you do.

Step 5

Place a piece of Amethyst somewhere in the room and visualise it radiating out peaceful, calming energy.

You can choose to leave the Black Tourmaline and Selenite in the room if you wish, or you may choose to put them away ready to use again. The Quartz and Amethyst should stay in place until you wish to use them somewhere else.

After about a month or so you may wish to cleanse and charge the crystals (I have a great post here about how to do that) and carry out the clearing again to refresh and reinforce the energy.
